Connecticut - Day 2

Well we took the ferry from Orient Point to New London, CT to avoid all the driving off LI, thru Brooklyn and the Bronx....it took about an hour and saved about 3 hrs driving time. While we were driving to the ferry, we passed someone that we just had to turn around for and take their picture. We knew that Ellie would love to see him. Scroll down for a surprise!!

He was just standing by a farm stand and waving to everyone!!!

After waving good bye to Elmo we headed out to Orient Point and the ferry. Very nice ride....VERY breezy and the water was clear blue.

Then we checked into the hotel and was on our way to Mystic CT. The color on the trees is starting to look good.

and we saw how they made apple cider:

Then we ate dinner at a seaside restaurant. I had LI duck....which I havn't had in about 30 yrs!! It was soooo good....with a cranberry chutney....it was heaven. Back on the treadmill and bowflex when we get back, but for now we are having a great time with the autumn tastes and colors.
